Instructions & Evidence.
Speaking with both customers online, at iindi.be markets & Pilates Fusion clients, lack of sleep was a frequent issue possibly due to; different times of our lives, hormones, stresses, tiredness & essentially out of synch with our bodies. My normal recommendations are the morning 3 rounds of Wim Hof Breathing & Magnesium supplements - especially if there's the restless leg syndrome to add into the equation! More recently, even with the Breathing & Magnesium I too started with restless sleep, could feel my hormones were out of synch. With help and researching the scientific studies, we have developed a detox to sleep box.
1/ Bathe in Epsom Salts. In June 2016 research showed that Permeation of Magnesium Ions through human skin was facilitated by hair follicles, (magnesium penetrates into the body). A deficiency of Magnesium can cause neuromuscular hyperexcitability, leading to restless sleep & restless leg syndrome. A study in 2011 a study by the Journal of Natural Medicines found that patchouli oil can help promote sleep & in 2007 Santalol, a major component of sandalwood oil, was shown to have central nervous system depressant effects such as sedation. iindi.be has added in organic Patchouli & Sandalwood Essential oil to the Epsom Salts for pure relaxation. Relax in the bath for 20 minutes.
2/ Gently Exfoliate with the natural loofah, exfoliating towards the heart. Exfoliating unclogs pores in the exfoliation process. It also helps detoxify your skin by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage. Not to be used on broken or inflamed skin.
3/ Castor Oil & Pack. The liver plays a major role in detoxification, & castor packs aid in supporting its function. Castor oil is high in ricinoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that encourages the movement of chemical energy in the body, contributing to detoxification. Apply massage oil to the pack evenly and wrap the pack on your body, leaving for 45 minutes to an hour or longer, (I leave mine on all night). Not to be used if pregnant &please check with your GP if you have any health issues.
4/ Chocolate contains tryptophan, which stimulates serotonin and melatonin, aiding in sleep. Additionally, the antioxidants and flavanols found in dark chocolate can reduce stress levels and help reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. Aim for chocolate that is at least 70% cocoa. Pure Heavenly contains 73% cocoa, more natural fibre, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and fewer negatives ingredients, like refined sugar and additives. This chocolate is Dairy free, gluten free, palm oil free, soy free & Vegan.
Finally eat the chocolate and sleep in a cool room
Sweet Dreams
